When I look at my blog stats (which I examine waaay too often), I am always amazed at the power of the internet, and the fact that people from all over the world have peeked in at my blog now and then. I love that the Blogspot site shows you a world map so that you can see where your traffic comes from. It's so much fun to look in on it and see that someone from Taiwan, Romania, and India stopped in to check out my site during the night,,,(night here - daytime there!)

Who are you? Did you just stumble on me, and then move on? Have you read some of my posts? Are you an artist? What is your life like?

I would love to know more about you. Love for you to leave a comment on my page.

Here is a little bit more about me and who I am;

I work full time at a senior living community as dining room manager in the memory loss/assisted living facility. I enjoy working with the seniors. I also work part time at a local restaurant on The Kennebec River in my (small) city on the coast of Maine.

I live with my fiance John. We have two dogs; Gracie and Boru.

I have two grown children - Shawn (29) and Sara (26) - who also live in Maine.

My son is the general manager of a Panera Bread Restaurant (yum!). And my daughter teaches high school math.

Here's my kid's when they were kids:

and here they are all grown up:

So let me know a little bit about you. Tell me what you like about my blog. Have you ever been to Maine?

And don't forget to visit my ETSY shop - creekart on ETSY.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hey!! I am so glad to have found you!!! I got a notice saying you were following me on etsy. I like to go back and follow those who follow me, but when I clicked on you site, I was instantly in love!!! I love your style and your ladies and your art. I dabble in mixed media, but still trying to learn.. I am taking Lifebook 2014 this year and loving it. Is that how you found me? I would be surprised if you are taking it because you could be teaching a class for sure. If you did, I would come!! I signe up for the first online class with Kelly Rae Roberts too, which I noticed you are familiar with too with her link... Wow.. wish we could get together and create!! It excites me to see your beautiful work and to see how you mix the backgrounds wieth the images you create. I have been doing faces for several years but really want to learn the background to make them pop. You have perfected it. I too, am finding myself empty nesting, grown children and trying to figure out what to do when I grow up! I stay busy but want to dig a little deeper this year. Yes, we have been to Maine years ago when we lived for a short while in Boston, and LOVED it. I would love to come back one day. I know you must love it there, so beautiful. Well, didn`t mean to write you a book. My other etsy shop is www.etsy.com/shop/janelazenbyartist if you have a minute to take a look.. would love to have you there. I am working on my web site and blog as we speak so maybe one day we can connect there... So nice o meet you and connect on here. Let me know if you are in lifebook 2014 so I can look for you there. tomelz@aol.com is my email. Have a great day!! and good luck with your art becoming your fulltime!!

    1. Hello Jane,
      I only just found your comment from back in January! Sorry not to have noticed it before now - I've not been keeping up with my blog very well the past several months. Thankyou for all your kind and lovely words - they are very encouraging.
      I believe I foudn you on etsy some time ago. I have you in my 'following' list. Your girl angels are so pretty! I am curious about lifebook 2014 - I will look it up.
      I need to develop a network of arttist friends. You have had a lot of sales in just a year! How do you do it? Am trying to find ways to increase my sales. I also need to find time to produce more art. Sometimes I don't get to it for months at a time which makes me very sad and feeling disconnected from my art.
      Anyway - thank you for commenting on my blog and I hope to stay in touch.
